How to Do a Screenshot on a Galaxy S

The Samsung Galaxy S smartphone includes a quick shortcut for creating a screen shot. This feature can be used to capture almost anything that appears on the screen, including messages or apps. A screen shot is useful to document a technical problem, or simply to save information on the screen to review later. Once you capture a screen shot, you can view the image from the same folder as your other pictures.

Browse to the specific screen that you want to save. Press and hold the back arrow button, which is located on the right side of the phone.

Tap the home button while still pressing the back arrow button. The Galaxy S makes a sound, and the screen is captured.

View the home screen on the Galaxy S, and select the "Gallery" app. Select the folder labelled "Screen Capture." Tap on the captured image to view it.
